Siegfried Arce

Siegfried is a geologist, mining engineer and consultant with 40 years of experience in the Peruvian base metals mining industry. His work has also involved the power, oil & gas, petrochemical, transportation and government sectors.

As a geologist his experience includes mapping, exploration, remediation, design and geotechnical instrumentation in planning, construction, and monitoring, including evaluation and remediation.

As a mining engineer his experience includes waste and tailings management, surface and ground water resources, exploration and hydro geology investigations, in project management feasibility studies conceptual design, environmental studies, permitting and engineering, and construction and procurement.

Siegfried is principle in a Consulting company involved in environmental remediation. He is presently writing a book on The History of Mining in Peru.

Dr. Kirk McDaniel

Kirk is a Subject Matter Expert in the fields of mining operations, mine safety, risk management and training. He has a global perspective in the architecture of innovation, strategic planning, process improvement and risk management. Kirk’s true passion however is his overriding commitment to safety and the environment. He carries a PhD in Mine and Earth Systems Engineering and Accreditation as a Certified Mine Safety Professional (CMSP) with experience and credentials in the US and internationally. Kirk’s work history includes concepts in the Sustainable Mine of the Future and also a senior position in Freeport McMoRan’s Mine Technology Group and Principal Advisor Underground Mining with Rio Tinto Technology & Innovation.

Alex Atkins

Alex’s purpose is to promote value-creative cultures & prevent value-destructive events in mining.

Alex holds 2 BEng Degrees from the University of Queensland and WA School of Mines qualifying her as a Mining Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer & Geologist. She holds First Class Mine Manager’s Certificates for WA & Queensland, has an MBA(Finance), is a graduate of AICD and Chartered Professional Fellow of The AusIMM.

Alex has 25+ years’ experience through the full mining value chain in roles that find, design & run mines, regulate mines & in the Big4’s auditing mining companies.

Alex is a Non-executive Director of Ausdrill Ltd (ASX:ASL) & Founder of her own consultancy.

Suzanne Mondoux

Author – Adventure Fiction, Biodiversity, Africa

Suzanne Mondoux brings a powerful skill set to the pursuit of shielding wildlife and the environment with a passion about the well-being of animals. Her career locations include Mauritania, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Guinea, and Mali as a Biodiversity Manager, Environmental Manager and Project Director where she directs sustainable exploration and extraction in areas inhabited by elephants, gorillas, chimpanzees and many other fauna and flora.

She has a MSc in Environment and Management, a Certificate in Community Base Resource Management, and a Technical Degree in Renewable Resources – Fish, Wildlife and Recreation.

Paula Bernardo

Paula has an expertise in strategic corporate communications and public relations specializing in Corporate Responsibility. She has been responsible for the implementation and management of a company’s corporate responsibility strategy and engagement in Canada. Throughout the years, she has developed, implemented and supervised national corporate social responsibility programs and negotiated and managed corporate social responsibility partnerships.

She obtained a certificate in Business Sustainability Management from Cambridge University and training in the Climate Reality Leadership Corps by the Climate Reality Project.
Paula is a certified CSR Practitioner from the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE), approved by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Dr. Ali Siamaki

Ali is passionate about Mine Digital Technologies and has pursued a variety of developing technologies including IoT, autonomous systems, AI, AR/MR and vision systems for mobile process. He received PhD degree in Mining Engineering from ‎Tehran Polytechnic and joined the Lassonde Institute of Mining at University of Toronto as a research assistant. His research interests include blast design and optimization, mine optimization and sustainability. Ali has also worked on mine digital transformation in the Middle East. His passion for the environmental aspect of mining leads him to implement technology to accelerate and facilitate sustainable development plans. His entrepreneurial spirit drives his interest to apply developing disruptive change concepts to develop sustainable solutions in the mining industry.

Roy Jakola

Roy remembers his fondest badge in the mining industry working as a jack leg driller in underground mining in the Sudbury region. He has worked for both of the top two underground mobile equipment manufacturers in marketing management positions. Along the way he worked for a space robotics company transferring IP from space to terrestrial applications including mining, nuclear, high voltage power, marine and autonomous mobile applications. He has started seven SME’s along the way with organizations in all corners of the world, innovating technologies and managing them through life cycle including novel green initiatives that can make a difference in sustainability. Roy’s passion is new technologies and he spends his time looking for the next disruptive change for the mining industry.

Brian Wawn

Brian operates Resources Monitor assisting companies servicing the mining, and oil & gas industries in the Australia and Asia region. Brian is a former Australian diplomat, having served extensively on Australian international missions.

He has also served as a director of several companies in the construction industry in Australia and Southeast Asia. Brian is the author of the book, The Economies of the ASEAN Countries (published by Macmillan, London).

Ivana Silva-Santisteban

Ivana is a social anthropologist and consultant with more than 10 years of experience in the Peruvian mining sector. Recent experience include positions in which she integrated social responsibility and sustainable development into corporate governance, policies, strategic planning and internal processes.

In this role, she designed and delivered entrepreneurship programmes, shared value projects and corporate volunteer plans. She also works finding solutions for social challenges in complex environments and facilitating multi-stakeholder processes, with emphasis on local leadership and co-creation.

Ivana is a facilitator, with experience coaching groups and individuals throughout innovative processes that includes methodologies like Design Thinking and Social Presencing Theater.

Dr. Shrikar Dole

Dr. Shrikar Dole is Founder & CEO of SDG Foundation in Mumbai India and a passionate advocate of partnering with business and society while recognizing the SDG framework using Circular Economy practices. Dr. Dole has developed many projects and programs in the area of sustainability with a network of global experts, Universities and Institutions. He has experience in corporate sustainability, low carbon productivity, Circular Economy, Clean Technology, and Green skills, to find solutions for complex climate change challenges for Sustainable Development.

He is a Mentor for Startups at Circular Economy Club as well as Startupbootcamp, Australia. He was also a reviewer for the 2018 Innovation Challenge organized by Launch Circular. He has been closely associated in formulation of sustainability policies in various capacities both with private sector and government agencies. He is a well-known speaker on international trade, clean technologies and sustainability in various forums. He is an ex-Air Force Fighter Pilot and has a Doctorate in International Trade/Relations.
